The first order of business is to get this stinking, nasty carpet out of here. To do this we'll have to take out the seats, the shifter trim, and the parking brake trim. Also, the sill plates and kick panels will have to be removed. The seats are removed by taking out the four bolts that hold the seat track onto the floorboard. After the bolts are removed we can simply lift the seats out and set them aside. Once that is done the shifter trim bezel and parking brake trim must be removed. Simply pull up on the center trim ring as seen here.

Now take out the phillips head screw holding the bezel down as seen here.

Now you must lift up on that part of the bezel

and push it forward to release it.

Now that the bezel is off, it's time to move on to the parking brake. First you have to lift off the cover hiding the four screws holding the bezel to the floor. Now there should be a phillips head screw in each corner like this.

Then, the seatbelts will have to be unbolted from the floor on each side with a star drive socket like this.

Also, the seatbelt will have to be taken loose by the door as shown here.

Then unplug the harness for the "fasten seatbelt" light.

Now you are ready to pull out your old carpet!!
